THE 2011 KUNST PILIPINO & KUNST GALLERY PAINTING COMPETITION
in cooperation with
FAMILY MALVAR & SM LIPA & BATANGAS CITY
1) Category:
I. Representational [any style, realistic, stylized (distorted figure)
A. PROFESSIONAL
a) Age from 18-60 years of age
B. STUDENT
a) High school and College students with valid school ID and enrollment certificate
2) Open to all Filipino artists age 18 years old (by Sept. 3, 2011) and above.
3) The theme for the Representational Painting Category is
A. SINO SI HENERAL MIGUEL MALVAR
4) For the painting categories, the required size is 3feet x 3feet, gallery or museum wrap, framed artwork. The medium acceptable is only oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas or watercolor.
6) Entries must be submitted at St. Camillus Provinciate, #18 Nicanor Reyes St., Varsity Hill Subd, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

B. Submission of Paintings – September 3, 2011 -9:00 AM-4:00 PM
5:00 pm – Screening of Artworks
A. Choose 10 finalist for Professional Division
B. Choose 10 finalist for Student Division
6:00 pm – Announcement of finalists
Finalist’s artwork will be exhibited before the final judging to the following venue:
Sept. 5 to 10, 20211 – Kunst Gallery Subic Freeport zone
Sept. 12 to 17, 2011 – PHILAMLIFE Bldg.
Sept. 18 to 24, 2011 – SM LIPA City
Sept. 25 to Oct 1, 2011 – SM Batangas
Sept. 27, 2011 – 10 am -= judging of artworks
4 pm – Awarding of Winning Artworks
Venue – SM BATANGAS CITY
• 20 finalist must be present during the awards ceremony
C. 20 finalist artworks would have to be retained for a series of exhibition at SM Malls in Southern Tagalog. And would be the property of Kunst Gallery
D. Those who are not chosen as finalist could bring back their artworks
E. Cash Awards for Winners
Professional Division
1st Prize – Php 50k and trophy
2nd Prize – Php 30k and trophy
3rd Prize – 15k and trophy
Viewers Choice Award – Php 5k worth and trophy
5 Juror ‘s Choice – P3,000.00 each
F. Student Division – Cash award is sponsored by Malvar Fmily.
1st Prize – Php 30k and trophy –
2nd Prize – Php 20k and trophy
3rd Prize – Php 10k and trophy
Viewers Choice Award – Php 1500 and trophy
5 Juror’s Choice – P1,500.00 Each

Composition – 30%
Originality – 30%
Overall Impact – 10%
Total – 100%
• All 20 finalist artworks will be the property of Kunst Gallery
• All 10 finalist in the Professional Division would have a chance to exhibit their works in Europe ( excluding airfare, inland arrangements only)

opo ma’am. dun po kayo sa pro category pero dapat 18 year old and above po kayo.
bakit meron ding submission sa batangas at sa Q.C.? akala ko b screening ng artworks pgdating ng 5pm? e kung nasa batangas ung ibng artworks, at ung iba ay nasa Q.C…. pano nila malalaman ung 20 finalist s mismong araw ng submission?
Sir.. Ang venue po nung submission nung una ay sa Sto. Thomas, Batangas pero nabago po ito at inilipat sa St. Camillus Provinciate, #18 Nicanor Reyes St., Varsity Hill Subd, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. jan po ang opisyal na venue para sa submission. Salamat po.

I was able to attend the awarding ceremonies. A brief but meaningful journey about the life of Gen. Miguel Malvar. I was hoping that there would be entries from Batangas Province. A wake up call to fellow Batanguenos!
